A vigorous storm system over eastern Colorado brought showers and
thunderstorms to much of northwest Kansas during the day today.
Some flooding and a few tornadoes were also reported across
western Kansas. As this storm system moves slowly 
northeast through tonight, additional showers and storms are 
expected to spread eastward into central and eastern Kansas,
bringing the threat for some severe storms. Lows tonight are 
expected to range from the mid 40s over portions of northwest 
Kansas, to the upper 60s in far southeast Kansas.

Showers and storms will remain in the forecast for northern Kansas
on Friday, with additional activity expected to develop over
portions of south central Kansas during the afternoon and evening
hours. High temperatures will range from the lower 60s in
northwest Kansas, to the upper 80s over south central Kansas.

A few showers and storms may linger across eastern Kansas on
Friday night, with west to NW winds spreading across the
state from west to east. Low temperatures will bottom out in the
40s across far western Kansas, while those in southeast Kansas see
lows in the mid 60s.
